The Harlem Shuffle....

Yesterday morning I woke up feeling some kind of way, I was up by 5am had managed to do laundry, get a haircut, get my car washed and be back at home by 7am. I decided that today was going to be a "Jersey City Day". Normally my Saturday routine is to head to Harlem and hang out with the family but I decided that today we should try something different and I called and invited them to venture into the Garden State for a day of fun and SHOPPING!

About 5 minutes into that call I realized that "Jersey City Day" was about to be cancelled, by 9am or so I found myself on the Westside Highway headed in the direction of "My Mama's house". Upon arrival I ran into my mom on her way to a fierce church meeting. My internal dialogue was screaming "Well if you have a meeting what was the purpose of me showing up here"? I got upstairs and had "high tea" with my niece and after my sis and I had breakfast together and caught up on what was going on in life and babyville the next move if you have not guessed was to take a trip to 125th street to check for new cd's new as well as familiar faces and just to people watch as Harlem has become very diverse in population.

20 minutes later I realized that Harlem was not going to give me the energy that I needed for the show today so I felt that it was in my best interest to make an exit and fast by 2pm or so I was back in the Garden State heading toward my Foxy Castle. On the drive home I spoke with Red and he made me laugh with some of his quick antidotes on how he would handle himself on certain situations and I just laugh because I know there are certain things I'm capable of and a lot that will just never be the "Foxy Way" either way It was the laugh or moment I needed.

The time is now 5:30 and 604 decides that he wants to hit the streets and go home shopping so off we go in search of curtains, tea kettles and the sort. One hour and three shopping bags later 604 is on his way to a basketball game and I'm carting around home goods in my trunk. (There are some days when I wonder if I'm Big Brother or Big Mother to 604, either way I know I'm valued and appreciated) On the drive back home the Fox Fone rings and its "Dr. Know" with a plan that I could not refuse but should have! Dinner and a movie on him (as if there is a better way to do it) we hit a new joint on the Harbor side where our waiter is a clown and keeps us laughing all night long. After a good dinner off to the mall we go to shop a little bit before the movie started...... (Are you guys noticing a trend here?) We are going to skip the movie section of the episode as this would be the second time I have seen it this weekend so it deserves no more shine on my show. Next we decide we are going to drop in on a new punk party in Jersey City. "Tango" was the location we arrived about 2 hours in so there were plenty of people enjoying themselves and meeting and greeting. It was nothing to go all crazy over but I was glad I came out and showed a little love. Dr. Know was surprised to see that I knew a few folks and I was kind of shocked myself but there is only one Fox and Jersey City is not big enough to hold me down so I'll just let it hold me up. However, it was cute to see the good doc kinda stumped as he watched me light up as a social butterfly I guess it was just one more piece of “Foxy Fruit" from the tree that is me. Anyhow I had a great evening and an "uncut" late night.....I take my hat off to Bellville, NJ, what can I say.....I didn't know! But stay tuned for updates live from Bellville.

Sunday morning started out right, I got dressed and found my way to church once again after a night of all kinds of madness I needed someone’s prayer. After church I was home touching base with the crew. Red was off with a date (something tells me I'm going to have to find a name for the nameless soon so stand-by for a new addition to the show. Vivacious, has been sweating it all out week that girl really gives me a run for my money sometimes. I'm not really sure what to say except that she is one focused individual. I filled her in on all the plans to bring the show to Atlanta, GA next month and though we will only be around for 24 hours that is all we need to get our laugh and chuckle on. I must have talked to her for an hour but I had officially been updated from Queens to Cobb County on everyone and everything I am so glad that chick is on my staff. By Noon I was on my way back to Harlem for an early lunch and a taping of "Showtime at the Apollo". Lunch was great I had a chance to hit a soul food joint I had yet to try and apparently I picked the right day to do so, Red's little sister and myself sat back and enjoyed a good meal and some good "Man Candy" granted we both were just window shopping. I of course enjoyed staring and getting glances in return. After "Showtime" we are heading back to Jersey as we have studying to do and a new week to prepare for.

"When country calls.....U answer".

On the ride to back to Jersey "Sister Red" was quite busy chatting and texting away on her cell. I pick up the Fox Fone and reach out to a few people but no answers so I decide to focus on the road, that plan lasted approximately 5 minutes and then my cell rang and the caller ID display brought an undeniable smile to my face. It was "Double R" a guy I had met in Washington, DC not too long ago we have played phone tag a few times but nothing serious or heavy. I must have lit up like a Christmas tree because even "Sister Red" gave me a weird glance but I was way too into the call to acknowledge it at the moment. Thanks to Holland Tunnel traffic we talked for about 40 minutes and it was the "getting to know you" conversation that we never really had. I guess it would be safe to assume that we can expect another trip south in the next 6-8 weeks where we maybe hosting the show live from the capital of Virginia, stay tuned.

"4 Chicken Wings and Fried Rice aint so nice"....

As we are approaching home I decide I need to stop of and visit "Lucky Chengs" for some Chinese Food. Sister Red and I break through the door like we haven't seen food in a week and immediately I get a silly smirk on the face as I catch an eyeful of "Cheng".

Cheng- The 16 year old son of the owner of my local Chinese Restaurant, Pretty in the face, big ole "Rice Cakes" and at the tender age of 16 a true flirt! What makes Cheng a new cast member on this show is the fact that he has a little crush on Foxy and as quiet as it's kept (not that quiet at all) Foxy has a crush on him as well....Now before the Pedophile Program airs...Not in a million years would I ever do anything with this kid but there is no denying that we have some heavy flirtation going on between my food deliveries and if he was 8 years older I could be the Ying on his Yang!!! I decided to bring Cheng onto the show as most of my cast love the food and are aware of this interaction between him and me. "604" would be the #1 witness to this behavior as I think he opened to flood gates to it all, Since we visit the restaurant together I believe Cheng had drawn the conclusion that we were some type of couple and began to study us. (I would expect nothing less from an upcoming queer; in fact I can even recall doing the same thing with a few older guys as a young fox) Once he figured out that 604 and I were JUST Roommates he began to focus his radar in one direction........Ladies and Gentlemen without further a due I introduce to you all "Cheng” (Audience waves chop sticks).

Sister Red places her order and then waits outside as she catches that Cheng may want some time alone with Foxboogie, as soon as she makes and exit he hits his mark and says..."There is something different about you" I immediately throw attention to the attention to the Chia Pet growing on top of my head and he responds, "No it's not that....You are not homosexual today". (Foxy drops microphone and purse) Damn! I don't think even I was that forward at 16 but I gotta remember this is a different species of "Queen" and they have courage that did not exist when I was coming up and OUT. Cheng turned Red and I must have turned purple as a reaction to his statement. I'm thinking to myself I better be easy with this kid cause I see that he is focused and trying to make it happen the best way he knows how....Too bad for him that he doesn't realize that game recognizes game and mine is tighter than his phat virgin booty, so he better fall back before he falls down.

Sister Red and I go back to my place and proceed to get down on some of the fiercest Chinese Food on the east coast.

"Hi my name is Beyonce Knowles and I OWN Music"....

Ok so it is Oscar time and I'm watching the show because it is my duty as Gay Man but I'm not really watching the show because I'm writing my own. However I have noticed that that dayum Beyonce Knowles has quite performed a few songs this evening and her outfits have gone from inappropriate to Just right as the evening has come along, I am a big fan of this driven sister and I just felt I needed to give her thirty seconds of viewer time (like she needs it) Anyhow, I had a very interesting chat with "The Starr" last night. We touched base on relationships and how we can let what we see jade us from having a great relationship. In my conversation with him I realized that I'm not really in the jaded category any longer, I have crossed over to focus. In the last year I have had several opportunities to venture into something serious and have not either because it did not work out or because I just chose not to do so, that let me know that I have the ability to be that great guy in a relationship but I cannot hide the fact that I am really enjoying myself right now and all the perks that come with being your Foxy host. I have been where the Starr is and occasionally revisit the community but I get constant reminders of my biggest asset so in the meantime until I find that special person I can just polish and perfect. I spoke with Red during the final hour of the show; we caught up on the entire weekend and the last 24 hours or his show. Sounds like he had a good time just kicking back and chillin with his boy and his peeps. I think I gave him a little gas as I tuned in and took notes on the function (I need to learn how to do that discretely) Anyhow, we are winding down and finishing up what is the Beyonce Show AKA The 2005 Academy Awards and it is now time to hit the books. Thanks for watching this weekend and I will see you next week!

Presidents weekend turns into the Boston Tea Party!

Ok, so the dilemma is there are not enough black people in Rockhard, MD.
It's not really an issue for me because I do not live here....However, this is my second home until further notice is sent and I have to try to make this work but really............$20 for a damn hair cut!

This morning’s events were completely the type of events that are typical here on the show, I go out expecting to spend 7 bucks and instead, I end up shelling out 20 phat ones for a crooked cut...........GAS!

Anyhow, after I get back wake up the boys we all get dressed for a full day. First off we have to make it to a brunch at a friends home in Alexandria, VA then we are off to get some shopping done at Potomac Mills outlet mall.

My job is to get Preach all dressed up and give him an east coast look, my budget I was told was unlimited but knowing my talent I can get this done in $100 or less. Four exhausting hours later Preach is pleased with his outfit for the evening and we are off to find some quick joint to grab dinner and get ready for the next scene of the evening. Starr is out of town but his partner in crime "A.GAY" is on the scene and ready to join us in the evening’s functions. Apparently we missed another party that AG was trying to get us to attend but when it all comes down to it shopping takes priority over everything. After dinner we head back to Red's place and take care of "The Three Esses" and we are off to the Bachelor's Mill for the warm up to the after-party @ Delta Elite.

"Suprise, Suprise"

One of the highlights of the evening was running into "Cruzin" Ex-boyfriend of Red and fan of the show. I had not seen him since the break up and the rumor was he had nothing but nice words for me after the divorce *something very rare so you know it's genuine* It was a real treat and to see "Cruz" having a good time out and I know behind the scenes it brought about 30 seconds of sunshine to RED. So we are all on the dance floor downstairs just drinking and hopping to the music and "AG" tells us that they are playing hip-hop on the other side of the club so of course we bee line to the next room. Now normally when I step into a room I size up the joint:

Who's checking for me?
Who am I checking for?
Who won't get a chance to smell it?
Who could put it on lock for the night?

Thirty seconds after entering the room I see a PHINE Redbone brother standing on the wall before I even have a chance to finish scanning the room I realize that I have officially checked him out and he has returned the favor. My dilemma how am I going to approach this brother....After we do the whole stare game he walks over to the bar and in my mind I am thinking "Either your going to fall in love with me or we are going to become friends so it's now or never". I approach him and to my surprise brother man was so cool about it...In fact he said to me that on his way back from the bar that he was planning to drag me to the other side of the room but I beat him to the punch.

Turns out that this guy is from Boston and is a school teacher therefore, he has been blessed with the "Blog Name" of "Boston Public" he purchased a beer for me even though I was already buzzzzzzing, we continued to talk and I was eventually introduced to his cousin and I politely invited them to move the party over to Delta Elite where we could continue talking and see where the evening went, once Public and his cousin agreed to meet us at the club I then rejoined my crew already in progress chatting and laughing it up I passed my beer off to RED cause sharing is caring and we rounded up the boys to head out. Once we all get to the Delta and go downstairs to the hip-hop floor I accept that I may not see "Boston" for the remainder of the evening...The Delta is wall to wall people in a very very dimly lit space so I decide to not worry about it and just dance and have a good time. "Behind the scenes"- I made sure I had his number before I left the first party so I was not worried at all.

While at the party I run into my lil son "Twane" and he introduced me to a friend of his whom I had had several phone conversations with over the last few months and I was taken back when I was introduced as Twane's boy "DROF" as he looked much better than I expected and I know that is a Shady comment but this is a Shady show and if that creates a problem for you this is probably where u should stop reading! Drof and I danced the remainder of the night together on the dance floor and at the end of the night I introduced him to my peeps. I somehow managed to do this while keeping my eyes open for Boston but he was nowhere to be seen.

"Sunday Mass"

One thing about being with good friends is that you do not have to go out of your way to impress each other. Sunday morning I woke up and made bacon, eggs and biscuits for the boys and we sat up and watched two movies laughing and joking all the way. Moments like these are priceless and don't come everyday so I just want to acknowledge that I really had a great time and though this has been and eventful weekend I think this morning/afternoon just sitting around and laughing with the gyrlz has been the highlight of my trip. Later in the evening we get dressed to go have dinner at "La Casa Mexican" Once again my babies got busy in that kitchen and blessed us with a meal made from the heart. Preach enjoyed himself and walked away with the feel of something special looking at the Mexican and his home and his relationship. I remember feeling that very same way the first time I met him and spent time in his home. After dinner we laughed talked and exchanged stories till we realized it was much later than we planned to stay and had to make our way to "The Lizard Lounge" at this point I was wiped out from the weekend of running and so forth and in addition to that The lounge always has an unbearable entry line and tonight God decided that he wanted to cry on his children. Preach took one look at me and says "My girlfriend loves me because the look on your face says that if you were not here visiting from LA I would not be caught dead on this line". Another thing that amazes me with my friends is that I never really have to say too much for them to understand exactly how I feel.

Now it's Monday and Preach is going to be heading home soon so we decide to grab some breakfast as we are starving and pick up a few thank you gifts for RED.

It's 3pm and I'm on my way home to the Jersey Estates and that brings this segment to a close....

The Please Do Not Call List........

Ladies and gentlemen we interrupt your regularly scheduled programming to air a special presentation.....The Foxybrown Show will not be aired today but will be replaced by "Red Takes On" which is hosted by "Red" of TFBS and will be narrated by Foxybrown.

Change is inevitable, it's also not easy and becoming acclimated to new situations and new settings can drain you mentally and physically, speaking from personal experience it can also be a cute way to lose a few pounds as the stress begins to wear on you low and heavy. When there is a glitch in your MATRIX it just seems like nothing can go your way.

"What about your friends, are they going to be around, will they every let you down"?

I guess the answer to this question is yes and hell yeah! We love our friends dearly but there are days when we want to just give them a fast one in the ass.

I have opted to leave the footage out of this special but rather get to the moral of the story.

A friend recently asked me "How can I better understand someone"? After I thought long and hard about it my response was this:

Once you "accept" someone you "understand" that the individual can only be the best that they can be and will only be able to do what they are willing to do. Keep in mind this is not always guaranteed to be exactly what you want but may very well be the best that this person can provide at this point in time.

Once we accept our friends/family for what and who they are: Good, Bad, Ugly or indifferent only then will we truly "understand" the roles that these people play in our lives.

In closing, we cannot change people or the way they do things, we also cannot put our lives on hold waiting for that change to happen. However, we do have the ability to work on ourselves and do the things differently and just maybe that will inspire someone to try a new approach.

In the meantime just live.........Oh and remember "You are the bar"!

Matzoh Ball Soup and Macaroni and Cheese....

Sunday Morning.....Church.

As I'm rushing in the door toting my Bible, Palm and a ringing cell phone I just pick up my home phone and start dialing Red as I know it is him calling....We greet I give him the tea on church and he asks why I don't write about it in the Blog, honestly, I'm not sure I just think religion is a sensitive issue however I realize everyone is not about being in church every Sunday and heck I can barely make it at times. So maybe reading a bit about the word aint so bad....We will see. Red is going to check out his family and I'm trying to figure out what to do with my day.

*Now I told Red I would not publish this story but I figure if I can put everyone’s business out there I can tell my own*

So I'm on AOL aka "click-a-dick" and I am multi-tasking my behind off, chatting with friends and talking to a few dudes, organizing some e-mail to go out to some high school friends. Now among all this madness that is going down there is one IM window that has me scratching my head as the conversation flow is cool and dude sounds like he has some good common sense bigger than that the screen name was everything short of "GET IN AND GET OUT" now that is right up my alley so I decided to see where this conversation could lead an hour later I am calling Red to wake him up so he can go meet "Family Red" and I am parking in front of this guys building. Before I left I found it rather interesting that I know about 3 dudes that live in this building and could be really weird if I ran into them, that kind of challenge never stops me though so I walk in the paths of the 500 people leaving a local Cathedral

Inside I'm thinking I want to conduct a test next weekend and walk down this street at the same exact time and see how many LESS people there are on the streets, Dang on Heathens...

One weird thing about this guy is that he never gave me an apartment number a little creepy because he could be a piece from my past that I do not want to see...I mean I had a picture but these days who doesn't have a picture and how can you ever really be sure...Anyhow I call him from outside and he rings the bell to let me in, Once in the building he tells me to take the elevator up to his floor (WEIRD), so now I'm on the elevator with a bunch of strangers going to see a stranger and we are all going to the fourth floor. Great when I get off this thing I'm going to be wandering around like a dummy not knowing where to go. When I get off I immediately see him and there is a sigh of relief one because he is better looking in person than he is in his picture which on a scale of 1 through 10 rated a 8.3, he received two points for the Red Hair and one point for the outfit which was screaming laid back home gear.

Once inside we chatted and watched UCONN lose in March Madness
(Ladies and gentlemen yes, I'm watching sports)
After the game he takes me on a tour of his place and shows me the work he has done in his bedroom all the books in his library etc. It was so easy to guess that this guy was a teacher of some kind but nonetheless really cool.

Now we are back in the living room and we are watching Tennis:

1. Yall know that me and ESPN have never been friends
2. Once I walk through your door I'm stripping because that is what I came to do
3. I am now on my second sport even of the day so there is something about this guy that is making me break my rule of: Lay, Slay and then be on your way!

While teacher man is explaining the game to me (and I'm actually retaining it) we begin to discuss backgrounds and I find that he is Jewish not that that is an ethnicity but he did pick up another two points for me and I'm thinking "Will he wear a Yarmulke for me"? I share with him my little genealogy search and that I have discovered that I have roots that trace back to not only the Motherland but to Ireland as well. Now at this point I'm not sure if I'm excited because he stepped his Jew game up or if he is hot because he now knows I'm part Leprechaun but we forget all about the game and begin trying to score with each other all over his sofa. The situation is quickly moved to his bedroom where it gets even more intense, this guy has me tripping out as he is a great kisser and his game in the bedroom is damn near tighter than mine!

(Audience Gasps) Yes guys "Mr. Lieberman" was doing what??? PUTTING IT DOWN!!!

I'm not going to turn this Blog into porn central with the "stroke by stroke" details but just know that we were both pleased and a little turned out. I planned to visit for just an hour or two and ended up chilling with this guy from 1:30 to 6pm.

*Private Thought* - I stayed with him longer than my family stayed with me yesterday...But I aint Bitter!

So I'm back home and I actually reach out and give him a call (sooooo not like me) and we talk for a little bit and then agree to either talk or meet before the week is up.

It is now 10pm and I'm on my way to 604's house to get some spaghetti that he and "whorefriend" made last night. I really want to lay in my bed and sleep as I already ate, been eaten and am exhausted but 6 is really sensitive and would be upset if did not come and grab a plate. Once there I'm glad I came as he and I had a really long talk and caught up on the week’s events and got a head start on the week ahead. When I get back home I chat with Red and we exchange files on the day and sounds like he had a pretty cool time dinner with family and then hit the strip down in the district, funny I chuckle as I think to myself that we both stepped outside of our box this weekend, go figure!
Oh well time to go nite nite, Ciao!

Saturday Night Fever.....

Well my Saturday started off pretty good I was up and dressed by 9am and on my way to get a quick haircut, that didn't work out as planned as the Barber Shop was jammed packed so I decided that is was best to let my kwag grow out just a bit longer....Upon returning home I was greeted by a call from RED who seemed to have quite a day planned....He was getting busy with his PC DJ equipment making me dance to the hot beats coming through my phone....His goal for the day was to hit the Native American Museum in DC so after our morning greeting was all done I left the Jersey Estate to head over to Harlem to check in with family. All is well on the family front my precious angel is getting as big as can be and boy o boy is she running her mouth (Another trait she has picked up from her uncle). Shopping in Harlem can be such an experience in the "savings" department I managed to pick up about 5 cd's, a DVD, a car charger and a brand new headset for my home phone for less than $30 u gotta love this place! I had a nice lunch with family and made a few calls in the city to a few buddies that live in the local area my mom seems to find entertainment in the fact that I seem to have some organization and planning to dealing with men what she doesn't know is that I do have my days when they get the best of me and I don't always come out a winner but if you guys can keep my secret I'll be a loyal host to u forever.

On my way home I touched base with Red who informed me of a great sale that he caught and of his plans to "spend the night" with the piece of the month. I have added this as reference for furture postings as this could prove very interesting.......Or not!

Meanwhile, I managed to go from "I really don't want to be bothered" to I need to hurry up and get dressed and processed as I may have two dates planned for tonight.

Dr. Know invited me to check out a movie and have dinner with him, I have not really hung out with the doc in sometime as he has been occupied with teaching and work and I have had my own agenda of things to do and people to see.

"Phi Beta Barbeque"

Dr. Know and I picked up tickets for our movie and since we had 90 minutes to spare we decided to grab a bite to eat, as we head over to Dallas BBQ I am immediatley reminded that it is Valentines Day Weekend in NYC and I just want to scream the Red Roses and goo goo eyed people just run me into a weird place and just when I think it can't get anyworse I remember that this is The Foxybrown Show and what will happen WILL HAPPEN and indeed did when I walked over to the Bar to order drinks and found no other than Phi Beta Sigma posterboy himself "Booka Brown". The past five years of my life had been wiped clean in the matter of seconds as I felt life kick me in the gut. In 3.5 seconds I pulled it all together and put on the brightest and warmest smiles that I could manage and gave him the biggest and tightest hug my arms would allow. I could feel the bright shine in my eyes fade as I was introduced to "The Boyfriend". I was glad that I:

1- Was dressed to no end looking like I was really on a date.
2- Was so glad that Dr. Know had cleaned up and gave "BB" something to stare at for a minute.
3- Was not coming down with severe stomach cramps which is usally the case whenever I'm in the same room with him.

The flip side to this is that:

1- Thanks to two years of Foxy's Fashion advice "BB" was lookin damn right and took some wind from me as I realized he has gained some weight.....
2- Mr. Man has this way of looking through me and I can't take is so even though I put Dr. Know and all his success' out on the table I felt that Brown was looking right into my heart and tapping into feelings that I thought had been covered and locked away
3- Since my stomach was not in knots I was able to accept items 1& 2 without looking like a sick puppy.

Eventually Doc and I were called for a table so I was rescued, another quick hug and extended glance and I was focused on a great dinner with a good buddy followed by a romantic comedy that was so appropriately released in time for "Love Day". I really don't think this evening could get any better however it's only 1AM so by NYC standards the night is still young.

Our next move was over to Christopher Street which is where we start our "Tour De Booze".
Whatever feelings that I may have begun to unpack were quickly washed out by the tune of Absolut and Cranberry As if the show it not always "ON" it was really on last night as I found myself to be "Mr. Foxularity" as I ran into a few old potential guests on the show and interviewed some new prospects for future dates. Before the evening ended I met one really interesting character who from a distance maintained eye contact all night as I laughed and smiled with some audience members and with my boy. Eventually he made his way over to me and instantly made me smile with his "Southern" accent. 40 minutes later my chest hurt from laughing so much and Mr. Smith was probably thinking that I was truly some crazy New Yorker that you hear about on TV and in many realms he may be correct in his thoughts. Mr. Smith and I exchanged numbers and Doc and I headed home for the night. As Doc walked me to my car he kept looking over at me and I kept pretending not to notice and when we parted he asked "Are you ok"? and I answered as honestly as I could when I responded " I will be one day". We both just cracked up laughing and I jumped in my car and I headed home .

"Church Hats"

This morning I went to Church with Red's little sister "Bootylicious" when I tell you this girl had me on the floor when she jumped out of her vehicle. If there ever was a Church Power Suit this girl had it on, she made eyes cross and heads spin and I am not gonna even begin to talk about the HAT now I usually never have nothing to say when it comes to an outfit but this girl did the thang....Just thought I would take a moment and pay tribute to this fierce outfit as it definitely deserved a moment all it's own.

"Hot Kawfee"

After church we grabbed breakfast and chatted about life and current events and upcoming events on "The Show". When I got back home the walls began to close in on me immediately. My phone rang non-stop all afternoon some calls I accepted some I did not.....There was a call I accepted which I'm glad I did answer as it was a very good friend of mine "Valdez" and he had a major and personal dilemma so personal the details of his situation cannot be revealed on the show but we had a long talk and I must say that I realize that my lil buddy had grown up and come a very long way so if your tuning in Val I just want you to know that I Love you and I'm proud of you and that God has given you everything that you need to make it in this world, you may not always find it right away and sometimes he gives us lessons so that we can utilize these tools so please consider this period in your life a lesson and know that you can make it through and no matter what you always have a space here on my show baby!

It's about 5pm and RED has finally called sounds like his "night out" was quite exciting I'm glad he had a good time and got a well deserved break from the norm. I feel better now that I have vented and filled him in on the details of the roller coaster ride that has been my weekend I feel that it is now time to get back to basics and prepare for the upcoming work week........Stay Tuned!

The District....Episode 2

"Stunts and Shows vs. Lies and Hot Coochie"

WRONG........Everyone did not sleep well last night and and Foxy was apparently not going to be sleeping late, so at 6am I found myself conducting a phone interview with "The Starr" the topic of this interview? "Whye does Poor Planning lead to Poor Plans". I have to say at 6AM Starr can definitely command your attention.

Was there any validity in his statements? Absolutely!
Was there more to this story than a failed attempt to surprise him? Absolutely!
Was it my place to probe and figure it all out? Absolutely NOT!

I took the high route on this matter and decided that it was best to just let my boy vent and by 7am I was on my way to work to face the world and make it happen....

The District....Episode 1

"The Plan"

This morning I received a phone call from "The Preacher" stating that his boyfriend had surprised him with a weekend escape to Washington, DC. I could almost smell his excitement through the phone. "The Starr" will be so excited when he hears about this as it is rare that any of us get to see Preach who usually visits from the west coast once a year. I'm thinking to myself yeah this is about to be big. Behind the scenes I'm rolling my eyes at the thought of getting in my car and driving the 3 hours to host this special event, Preach coming to town is big, I do miss Red so I suck it up and begin to ask myself how can I make this the best show possible.

(Sometimes my internal dialogue cracks me up, if people only knew half of the thoughts that run through my mind in the period of a phone conversation)

*Red, you are the exception, and you know too damn much*

At somepoint during my phone conversation with Preach, I came up with the bright idea of inviting "604" to tag along for theshow, I figured that "The Starr" would be floored by the Double Scoop Surprise Sundae we were planning.

One quick conference calland I had confirmed that the show was about to get HOT!
604 whas hype and Preach was running me low with excitement, that was 11am......

"Dont believe the Hype"

By 6pm the news had leaked......Ok I told everyone, What??? I had to round up my boys and get the crew all together. 604 and I were all geared up for our Tuesday night meeting and Red was dialed in and ready with updates and behind the scenes commentary. Nothing interrupts this ritual so all incoming calls, instant messages and smoke signals are placed on hold until after The Real World ends around 10:30pm.

Ok so it's 11pm and I just dropped off 604 and it's time to return a few calls.....At the top of my list is Preach but I was in no way prepared for what he had to say.......Earlier tonight Preach surprised "Starr" with the news of his visit to the east coast, Starr dropped the bomb that he would be in the Windy City that weekend...

Yes boys and girls after a day of researching and confirming schedules Starr will not be in town for this show and Preach is every bit of hurt. However, come rain or come shine The Foxybrown Show is always what???

Thats's right so we keep it moving because the party has to go on. I hang up on preach and he feels much better about the situation so a good night sleep was had by all...............Right????
