"Foxy Hills 07304"

“Foxy Hills 07304”
Episode Seven
“The Foxes Get Lucky”

“Blog Mafia” was to be this episode but I decided to treat you all to the wonderful weekend that I had instead…

Everybody knows that “Lucky” was to meet my Mother and Sister this weekend however, this was to be no easy task as “Lucky” had the standard hesitation that comes along with meeting your partners family and throw in some commentary from me and you
had “Fright Night Pie” just in time for Halloween!
Anyhow Saturday morning arrives and we decided to meet for breakfast in Harlem.
2 hours later my mom, sister and precious niece walk down the street to greet us, two seconds later I’m all caught up in the joy that is my niece and “Lucky” and Sister Fox are off in their own world. I figured that they would hit it off pretty well.
Now what happened next is a “Foxybrown Show” standard, for those of you who don’t know “Lucky” is a 5th grade Teacher and one of their worse nightmares is running into one of their students during the weekend. That’s right not only did we run into a student of his but we were seated right next to her and her family. Ok so one awkward moment isn’t so bad. Once my mom proceeded to tell tales of my childhood and embarrass both my sister and I knew that “Lucky” was definitely scoring points. After breakfast we walk back to my moms to part ways before heading off to Jersey, my sister has already given her approval and it comes down to either a hug or a handshake from my mom. At first she extends her hand and I nearly crap in my pants until I see her other arm appear from the side as she gives my baby a big hug and a kiss and invites him back for dinner someday soon. Needless to say we were both beaming all the way back to New Jersey! An afternoon of shopping was the pre-requisite to UNBELIEVABLE Steak dinner to celebrate my promotion. It’s Monday morning and I’m still thinking about that meal.

Now just when you think the weekend could not get any better Sunday morning I’m heading back to Jersey for a day of work in the office as there are only two weeks left here to finish up and as I’m walking into my office my cell phone rings and it’s “Cool As Paper” one of my vendors who always has an extra ticket to one sporting event or another…”CAP” offers “Lucky” and I two excellent seats to yesterday’s big Giants and Redskins game which ended up being a 36 – 0 blow out win for the Giants…Needless to say tailgating with "CAP" and then watching the Giants kick the Redskins ass was sumthin else but after the game "Lucky" making Sunday dinner for me a whole other category.....A whole week later and it is still good to be "Foxy"!

That’s what’s going down in “Foxy Hills” and the weekend was something to talk about!

I’ll be back with “Blog Mafia” before the end of the week so stay tuned!

Welcome back to the work week!

T.G.I.F.

T.G.I.F…..Thank Goodness Its Foxy!!!!

Well here we are again guys, facing another fabulous weekend. I must say I feel like my weekend started last night. “Lucky” and I got our evening ON last night with a very nice dinner and great conversation and well ummm well u know….It’s 7:12 am and I’m in the office plugging away. This afternoon is our quarterly team building event and it was finally my turn to coordinate the meeting, ironic as it may be this will be my last team building event with the group. I am a bit emotional as this is the “first” of a few “lasts” that I will be doing with my team that over the last two years has become very cohesive. I decided that it was time for the Jersey clan to venture into NYC to ESPN Zone for some snacks, a few drinks and some wall climbing! So if you drop by the ESPN Zone in Times Square this afternoon you are very likely to run into the Fox! Now if you scream out my name I will probably ignore you but just know that I was there!!!!! LOL!

Ok I’m rambling and we have to all start planning our weekends so lets get to it…

Don’t forget “Lucky” is to meet the “Fox Family” this weekend. I swear this is going to be so very interesting and those of you who I have screamed and yelled at this week (“Red”) please forgive me and thank you for letting me do so…You know how I get around this stuff. I just want everyone to be happy!

Also….”Blog Mafia” on Foxy Hills this Monday!

A Fierce, Fabulous and FOXY weekend to you all!!

"Foxy Fast Ass"

Foxy Fast Ass…

So Saturday night “Red” , “Claystarr” and myself hit the streets of DC for a night of fun.
We started out with a quick meal and a funky little spot called “Food Bar” the food was pretty descent and the conversation a hot damn mess as usual….
Our next stop was over to “The Fireplace” a staple for every trip I make to DC, the music was HOT the crowd not so hot but then again when we walk into a club we naturally draw the conclusion that we are the finest things in the room. Thus, approach at your own risk. After one cocktail and a few booty shaking moments we decided to change the routine up a bit and venture out to a spot we had never tried before. Off to 17th street we go to a place called “Chaos” and judging from the outside “Starr” and I were hesitant, though we could hear the bumping beat of Michael Jackson “Thriller” playing inside something kept us at the door. “Red” volunteering to pay our way in cleared any fears we may have had. Five minutes after our entrance a funky drag show begins now I don’t think that either of us are big drag show fans but we watched and enjoyed the crowd anyhow. I admit there was one element of the show I enjoyed where they had the audience participate in a mock runway show it was nice to see all the gays, lesbos and straight folks working the runway without judgment. I was so tempted to go up there and play Tyra Banks for two minutes but I wasn’t gonna say that to my boys…LOL.
“Red” and I did notice there was this one big booty white guy getting down on the dance floor and it’s so rare that you go out in the states and find white guys that damn near have more rhythm than you in Europe you see that shit all the time.
After the drag show was over we were getting ready to head for the door and I decide to go compliment “big booty” on his moves. As we get geared to head out the door Amerie’s “One Thing” comes blasting from the speakers and immediately I decide I’m gonna dance with “big booty” I go over to ask if I could hit it on the dance floor with him and his little drunk friend waves his hand in my face and announces that he is taken. Of course “Starr” and “Red” are watching from the sidelines ready to bust a bottle but Foxy keeps his cool and responds to ole boy with a simple…”Your boy just told me and you have one second to get your fukkin hand outta my face”. At that point it was really time to go because I think I would have tossed that boy across the room if I even thought he was looking my way.
I swear you guys….Only me and only in DC!

*Foxy and crew exit stage right*

Sunday I was telling “Lucky” about what happened and I guess the big booty part didn’t help and then me going to dance with the guy wasn’t a brownie point either but “Lucky” knows he got it locked down so he wasn’t worried at all although when I finished the story he just laughed and said….”Hmmmmmmppph”……..”Hmmmmmmpppph” so I’m wondering is that Irish for “Foxy Fast Ass”?

How 'bout the best part of that story was being able to laugh about it with my boyfriend!
How 'bout if anybody see's big booty's boyfriend please give him one across the head for me just cuz Foxy said so!

See you tomorrow for WHY Wednesday????

"Foxy Hills 07304"

"Foxy Hills 07304"
Episode Six"
It's good to be Foxy"
I'm back from my 36 hours in "The District" and as I look back on the events of the weekend I must say it's good to be me! Now I realize that that comment is a touch narcissistic but please allow me to elaborate. I am just a reflection of the amazing people in my life.
"The Mexican" for making sure the tickets were delivered on time and for being there upon my arrival. Thanks for wanting the best for me and encouraging me to be a better fox everyday!
"RED" for always being right on time...We are always truly two minds with one thought. I could go on for days but you know who you are and so do the fans of this show...
"The Starr" who is always just that......A Starr! Everybody needs one in their life.
"604" Yeah I know you are in London but how you managed to work yourself into this weekend on three separate occasions is beyond me but I love you more!
"Mr. A. Gay" My summer intern. You are a man of your word and how you got your car to make it from Baltimore to DC just in time for me to get back on the train to head home is something I won't understand but will always appreciate. Keep raising that bar!
"Kibbles & Bits" for taking that walk with me early Sunday morning for such a great cause. I was barely back in the city for 3 hours before we made it happen. Change is inevitable....I owe you more than I will ever be able to pay.....Thanks so much!
"Lucky Charm" It started with that phone call from you while stuck in traffic on the lunch that you were preparing for me and it ended..........Well you know how it ended. I'm crazy 'bout you and I'm down to do whatever I need to do to make this work...Even if it means learning how to make Corned Beef and Cabbage! (Don't we wish it was that simple?) LOL!
So as you can see the last 36 hours of my weekend has been filled with spending time with people that I love dearly and love me back...All I'm saying is that this is just the weekend update. If you tune in daily you already know how amazing these people are and how much they are a part of my show.....
It really is good to be Foxy!
Tune in next week on Foxy Hills for "Blog Mafia"........

"Live from the Capital'

“Live from the Capital”

Ok so the plan was to hang out with “Kitten” this weekend and get in some quality time with “Lucky". However, plans change and on this show they change in minutes…

This afternoon I’m off to the nation’s capital for a 36 hour tour. “The Mexican” wants me to come down to attend a fundraiser for a good friend of his. I had one request. ”Get me there and get me back”. Well needless to say he came through and I’ll be heading to DC. I’m looking forward to the train ride as it will give me time to read, write and reflect not to mention some great i-pod bonding time.

Ironically or not so ironically this is Homecoming weekend at Howard University so it is to see and be seen in DC. I plan to see “Red” and the crew for some laughs and libations while in town. Now 36 hours is not a lot of time but sometimes I amaze myself.

Sunday morning @ 3am I will be on the train headed back to “The Garden State” as I have to participate in the American Heart Association walk Sunday morning @ 8:30am.
Thanks to all of you who sponsored me for this cause your genorisity is so apreciated.
I tell you some days I really live the life of a Superhero. Hopefully by noon I will be in the arms of “Mr. Charms” and that will last about an hour before the big game.
Ahhhh how I loathe sports…..Ahhhh how I get over it for my baby!

Alright this has been your official Foxdate!

I’m doin it in DC this weekend where are you gonna do it???

Holla at ya Fox!

Foxy weekend to you all!

My Time is Now.....

My Time is Now……

Time waits for no one and it will pass right before your eyes…

Days become months, months become years and to some this is a surprise….

My short-comings of yesterday are the stepping stones of tomorrow….

The Phosphorescent trail that is my future is what I will leave for others to follow…

The clock races on and to my agenda I must remain allegiant…..

The world is waiting for me and its demeanor is neither fair nor lenient….

So I will throw caution to the wind and allow my show to begin…

I accept that I am the beginning and I acknowledge that I am the end….

With both feet on solid ground I will attempt to show you how…

You move when it’s your turn but for me my time is NOW….

"Foxy Hills 07304"

"Foxy Hills 07304"
Episode 5
“My Uncle Fox”

Every opportunity I get to spend time with my precious niece it blows me away.
Children are the most precious gifts that God can give us and they can say and do some of the most bizarre things. It amazes me that at two my niece is as observant and as talkative as she is but it also confirms that we are family as I watch everything and have a constant dialogue be it internal or external at all times. However, her getting busy with a plate of Crabs is priceless…I had a conversation with my mom last week about my nieces ability to get through a plate of crabs (with my mother breaking the shell and separating the meat of course) and she says to me in true black mama fashion “That Chile tears those Crabs up”. I chuckled to myself. So this weekend while babysitting my little Angel I decided I was going to test the waters so I asked my niece if she like to eat Crabs and of course she replies “Yesssss”. I next ask what she does when she eats the Crab and her response you couldn’t buy for 2 million dollars….”I tear’d it up”. When I tell yall I thought I would scream. So young, so innocent……So HUNGRY!
The other thing I love about children is that you don’t have to work so hard to be a superhero with them, the fact that I can reach the top of the refrigerator makes me Michael Jordan and because I have a friendly Cat I’m better than a trip to the Zoo. However, the greatest accomplishment as an Uncle in her eyes is the fact that she can request French Fries with Ketchup and within minutes I can magically make them appear and in order to do this we must take a magical ride in the “Foxymobile” over to the big “M” in the sky!

Eventually I’m going to have to explain to her what “McDonalds” is all about but for now I’ll just continue to be the cool uncle who knows all the magic tricks!

In other news here on the show…The weekend was low key outside of babysitting. “Lucky” got the chance to meet my little Angel and of course he was a hit because he has a magic TV with magic Cable that kept her glued to the set. While “Tearing Up” her breakfast. "Red" wasn't feeling so hot this weekend or as "The Reverend" would say he is sick and shut in so I wish him a quick recovery. The week promises to be busy we start this afternoon with a Dentist appointment and we may possibly end with “Lucky” meeting the Fox Family….Not sure yet but I will keep you updated as the week goes by!

Thanks for tuning in to the show and welcome back to the work week!

Slow Jam

Slow Jam……..

What is it about the rain that is so sexy?
What is it about the rain that makes you want to be wrapped in the arms of someone that makes you feel good even if it’s just for the night?
What is it about the rain that makes you want to fall in love?
I’m not sure but when I was a teen I loved the rain, I would pop in my favorite “Slow Jam” tape and just be at one with my thoughts struggling but not struggling with my sexuality and fantasizing about someone to share that very moment with.
This week has not necessarily been the greatest as I have had many pressing thoughts and concerns in my head and in addition to those I really have not seen “Lucky” as much as I would have liked to. It’s all good though I maintained and the Fox is back where he needs to be (like I ever fall off).

Tonight I’m gonna try something different
Tonight I’m gonna take advantage of the rain
Tonight I’m gonna make my own slow jam
Tonight I’m gonna flashback to a time when a twelve year old "Monica" wanted to make things right “Before you walk out of my life”.

Yeah….You know what I’m talking about but so I’m gonna go get started on my slow jam tape……

Have a Fierce…..Fabulous and Foxy weekend!

This Slow Jam is for you!

"The Fighting Irish"

The Fighting Irish....

Ok so I'm talking to "Boston Public" and he has this hilarious story for me.
“BP’s” little sister whom we will call “PS" is engaged to 6'5" Irish man let's call him "O'Malley" now lil sis decides that she is feeling good, she got her new car and is going to hit the club and there is nothing wrong with that as we would all do it. “PS 30” grabs her good girlfriend and they hit it out to the club with "O'Malley" in tow (what a good fiancé). Now at the club they are in the cut chillin watching the crowd when the see the club “Misfit” make an entrance...We all know them the girls with eight different shades of pink on and the Mary J Blige sunglasses and Timbs...
(Rolls Eyes) I wonder how these kids make it out the door looking this way I mean they have to make it past a mirror at some point but who am I to judge…..
So “PS” and her girlfriend of course are cracking at the latest fashion road kill to enter the club and apparently they were cracking a little too loud because "Lead “Misfit”" heard them and confronted them. Now in true pretty girl fashion "PS" and crew did not even acknowledge the situation which further infuriated the ugly girl. Next come the threats of snatching off wigs.....
UH OH! Now that is when it got ugly cuz yeah "“PS” had on a gilda but mama has flawless flowing hair beneath it but you still do not threaten to do anything to a black woman’s hair whether it's hers or not!

*Ding Ding Ding*

Yeah it's on! Fists flying and punches landing and our girl "“PS” is whooping some ass and her girlfriend (who so fiercely happens to be white) is backing her up left and right....Now this is when it's fire.....Somebody apparently let "O'Malley" know that something was jumping off with his girl, wouldn't you know he carried his big ole frame over to defuse the situation but the girls were not letting it happen he tried to keep his fiancé back but the "“Misfits" began to attack him and while he was distracted they jumped at "PS" again man why did that send our boy into a rage....WHY DID HE GO OFF ON THE GIRLS........Ole boy was not letting them touch his baby and I'm not mad at him at all! Of course the girls threaten to get their boys to whoop his ass......His response..."I'll be right outside" then he went and waited all the while “PS” and girlfriend are trying to calm him down and get him outta there before the police jump on the scene.

Long story short everyone made it home ok and nobody was harmed. However, I thought this was hilarious as many of you would say that a man should never put his hands on a woman but when he is protecting his woman you make an exception....Go Figure!

Any way BIG shout out to "O'Malley" for protecting his Black Princess!
Special shout out to the "Misfits” without you who would we talk about in the club?

Yall think "Lucky" would whoop ass for me?
I don't put it past him I have seen him light fire at people on the highway trying to cut me off.

I swear yall I don't make this shit up its all real and those of you who now Foxy and Mr. Public know this is a story that only he can tell.

"Foxy Hills 07304"

Foxy Hills 07304
Episode 4
When it rains it pours…

This weekend the show was broadcasted live from “The District”. This has pretty much been the routine since “Red” moved south a little over two years ago. Saturday was to be the first time that you got to hear “Red” spinning on the ones and twos but God had another plan. It rained cats and dogs over DC this weekend. Now through the rain there was some sunshine. This period of rain gave “Red” an opportunity to further practice and sharpen his skills and remember to keep it simple….It was so funny to hear me saying that to him when it’s usually the other way around.
The rain also gave me a chance to catch up with the DC metro crew and touch base on what’s going on with them these days. The rain is also a great time for reflection. I looked back on the last 10 years of my life and the relationships retained the evolution from Boy to Man, The Family Tree that begins with me. I also looked ahead 10 years and I am so not afraid to say that I have no idea what the future holds for me but this past 10 years have been pretty damn good and as I have done some pretty amazing things and I keep in mind that “The best is yet to come”. While driving home yesterday afternoon I deliberated over and over again in my mind about what would be next for me. It’s so typical of me…I just landed a great new job opportunity and I’m already looking 2 years down the road to what’s next.
To close this exciting and intriguing weekend I had a nice conversation with my Summer Intern “Mr. A. Gay” I think it was more me running my mouth and him listening but I think that was what needed to be done. Funny you never miss someone until they are gone and I realized how much I missed my intern in one conversation…I don’t miss that funky ass bedroom but I love you all the same!

All in all the rain fell on me hard this weekend…God has cried down on me empowering me to reach out and touch others. I’m now checking the weather report and getting excited about the next rainfall…

Great week to you all and I’ll see you on “Foxy Hills” next week!

"Foxy's Rap"

Foxy’s Rap….

I said my name is Foxy and I’m the man…
I got a job offer in my hand….
That’s right this boy here’s about to do it big…
Got a 17% increase to take this gig…
The schedule kinda sucks but that’s alright….
Cuz I can sleep all day and I can dance all night…..
Now my dry cleaners made a little boo boo…..
But the suit worked wonders so to them a big thank you…
Now to all my brothers for the great advice
We gonna celebrate with a plate of Chicken & Rice
And to wash it all down real quick for me
Is a quart of that delicious “Cheng’s” Chinese Ghetto Iced Tea

*Crowd Screams*
“Put ya old check up…Put ya new check up”
“Put ya old check up…Put ya new check up”
“It’s much better…It’s much better…It’s much better”

Yo I’m out….Big things to come in 2006, look for my album in stores next week entitled:

“Foxy got a brand new Job” on “Cash My Check” records.

I’m a mess….However, yall love me just the way I am…..

Why Wednesday???? (Fall Four)

WHY Wednesday???? (Fall Four)

Ok Back to Business! Sorry I wasn’t with you guys yesterday but when you read my Why’s you will better understand. The time is now and the place is here….Tell me WHY!

WHY did the dry cleaners fuck up my suit the day before my interview?

WHY did they compensate by hooking me up with a Brooks Brothers replacement?

WHY did it look better than the Kenneth Cole deal I put in the cleaners?

WHY did they tell me I could keep it?

WHY did the interview go VERY well?

WHY should I have an offer by Friday?

WHY do office hours of 10:30 to 7pm turn me off?

WHY will I have to sleep on this very hard?

WHY will the cheese have to be right for me to take this gig?

WHY am I going off and they did not even call with an offer yet?

WHY would my feelings be hurt if they didn’t call at all?

Ok I’m done. I apologize again for being away but I’ll keep you guys posted on whether or not my day off was worth it!

Oh one more...WHY am I eating leftover Chinese food at my desk for breakfast?
Now go cross your fingers and post your WHY’s…Not exactly in that order!

"Foxy Hills 07304"

Foxy Hills 07304
Episode 3
Jailhouse Fox/ To Clip or not to clip

Ok so last week everyone wanted to know why the Police were looking for Foxybrown.....
Well…What had happened was the ticket I got for having a bad taillight turned into a warrant even though it was paid. Turns up you need to sign the waiver pleading guilty. Guess who sent a check but didn’t sign the waiver therefore when I did not show up in court I was held in contempt….Who knew??? I’m sure things will work out just fine I have posted my own bail and I am awaiting a court date. I’d like to think that this is just about as far as this deal is going to go but you guys know my show so stay tuned and keep those “Free Foxy” T-Shirts on at least until I’m done with this court drama.

“To Clip or not to clip”

As you all know this weekend was a big Yankees weekend well for sports fans it was….For me I got the chance to see my boyfriend go into “Jock” mode for about 4 hours it’s so cute. However, I have my moments when I feel like this annoying girlfriend who constantly interrupts during crucial moments and when the team is not doing so good I don’t quite understand the severity of the matter.
OH WELL let me tell yall what I did get into….How ‘bout when “Lucky" and I went grocery shopping he gave me all this crap about using the sales circular to shop and I went into shock as it is really the only way I knew how to grocery shop…You buy what’s on sale. Simultaneously there is a little girl getting a big mama beat down in the store and “Lucky” being the educator is really upset by it and I’m standing there thinking “I bet that little girl didn’t pick up the sales circular when her mama told her to” but I dare not say that to “Lucky” so we simply did the aisle to aisle thing and I flashed back to when I was 5 years old and the scene I caused in “Alexander’s” departments store because I would not help my mama with the bags because she didn’t buy me a toy that I wanted. Mama Fox proceeded to light my ass and all I can remember as I layed on the floor taking my beat down was some mother saying to her child see what happens when you don’t listen. I called my mama Saturday morning and left her a voicemail saying thank you for whooping my ass!

“Lucky”
is my baby he challenges me everyday but there are moments when he makes me appreciate where I’m from so much that it’s ridiculous….Saturday afternoon I spent just walking around Harlem doing the things I grew up doing people watching, bootleg shopping and I even made a stop at the grocery store and yeah the first thing I did was grab my sales circular….Change is inevitable but I gotta remain true to myself. Lucky and I are going to be just fine…One Day or One Coupon at a time!

All my shoppers out there who know what I’m talking ‘bout wave your circular and scream out….”Buy one get one Free”!

See yall next week when I take the show on the road to go support “Red” in his first gig as a DJ it’s guaranteed to be one mixed up mess! See ya next week!
